First try at making a website - Die Antwoord
Here I have attempted to try and create a fake website for a music artist. I chose to do Die Antwoord. Whilst creating this, I had to focus on illustrating a website that correlated with Die Antwoord's genre as well as image. I found it was important to always remember to make decisions that would make the website seem professional. Here is my final product Vs Die Antwoord's real website:

Synthetic Album Cover - Zara Larsson
Zara Larsson is a Sweedish Pop artist who has recently become famous in 2016, her hit single being Lush Life. Through a number of reasons, we can see that she places into the synthetic category when regarding Negus' theory.
- The Font - Bold so it stands out to the audience. The name of the artist is much larger than the name of the album - a tactic used by music companies to try and gain acclaim for the artist.
- Makeup - Upholding the made up look of modern synthetic artists - trying to achieve the perfect look.
- Pastel/girlie colours - Appealing to a younger, more childish audience - showing synthetic/temporary.
- The pose/overall look - Artist seems very similar to many other artists - company just using her as temporary option.
- Message - Album clearly does not have a meaning or a purpose - Typically synthetic.

Organic Album Cover - Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick lamar is an American hip hop rapper from Compton, California. He has released several albums during his career so far and is arguably one of the most successful rappers of this decade. Through this we can come to the conclusion that he is an organic artist. This album cover furthers this as well as upholds the rapper image :
- Seemingly taken on a polaroid - makes the album seem personal therefore having a meaning. Makes the artist seem genuine.
- Family image - depicts Kendrick as a family man. Audience more likely to sympathise with the artist and have an emotional connection.
- Handwritten title and artist name - Album appears to be home made. Furthers that the album is genuine as well as personal. Differs from the typical connotations of rappers, like obscene wealth - more relatable.
- Black blocks over the eyes - upholds the 'cool' demeanour of Kendrick. Also furthers the message of Kendrick's work - racial equality - as appear to be hiding identity.
- Focus on the child - Audience assumes this is the artist. Creates a personal relationship between the audience and artist as we are given an insight into his childhood. Furthers the meaning of the album.

Organic Album Cover - Amy MacDonald
Through this example, we can see the attempt at creating/fulfilling the organic look of an artist through a number of different key elements:
- Bold and simple font for the name - this is to make the audience focus on the name of the artist rather than the name of the album as well as keep to the 'raw' look.
- Eye line is looking downwards - this portrays the artist as thoughtful, reflective, possibly shy.
- Colour palette - Autumnal. Gives a natural look which is a reflection of her music.
- The Guitar - Immediately gives the impression to the audience that she is a singer as well as songwriter...even if this is not the case.
- Subtle makeup - She appears to be natural, furthering the genre of her music.
- The album itself illustrates the artist as conforming to the folk, country, indie music genre.
