Organic Album Cover - Amy MacDonald

Through this example, we can see the attempt at creating/fulfilling the organic look of an artist through a number of different key elements:
  • Bold and simple font for the name - this is to make the audience focus on the name of the artist rather than the name of the album as well as keep to the 'raw' look.
  • Eye line is looking downwards - this portrays the artist as thoughtful, reflective, possibly shy.
  • Colour palette - Autumnal. Gives a natural look which is a reflection of her music.
  • The Guitar - Immediately gives the impression to the audience that she is a singer as well as songwriter...even if this is not the case.
  • Subtle makeup - She appears to be natural, furthering the genre of her music.
  • The album itself illustrates the artist as conforming to the folk, country, indie music genre.
